The Alex Mahood Fund is for graduating seniors from Bluefield High School or Graham High School.
The Grants Supermarket Fund is set up to provide scholarship assistance to existing employees or a graduating senior child of an existing employee of any Grants Super Market.
James and Rebecca Steorts Scholarship Fund For graduating seniors from high schools in Mercer and McDowell Counties in WV and Tazewell County, VA who plan to attend Concord University, with first preference given to students majoring in business, and second preference given to students majoring in English.
To provide scholarship assistance to one of the top 5 seniors in a high school of more than 100 seniors or the top 5% in a high school of 100 or fewer seniors in a Mercer County, West Virginia or Tazewell County, Virginia high school, regardless of need, who is the son or daughter of the following: First, an employee of Bluefield University, Bluefield, Virginia; Second, an employee of Bluefield State University, Bluefield, West Virginia; and Third, an employee of either Bluefield University or Bluefield State University.
To provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of high schools in certain W.Va. and Va. counties who will study Auto and Diesel Mechanics or Accounting.
Applicants must be a graduating senior of a high school in McDowell County, West Virginia, or Tazewell County, Virginia that have been accepted by an approved institution of higher learning.

The following criteria will be used as the basis for the scholarship awards:
1. Applicant’s prior academic performance, demonstrated by a 3.0 or higher GPA.
2. Applicant’s performance on accepted tests designed to measure aptitude and ability for college work
    (no minimum score, though extremely poor performance will be considered).
3. Applicant’s prior leadership performance as supported by school and community experiences, such as:
    volunteer or extra-curricular activities; academic and sports teamwork; prior work experiences in the community,
    such as summer or after-school jobs or internships; offices held in student government and other organizations; and demonstrated mentoring of others.
4. Applicant’s need and potential for success.
5. Applicant's financial need, verified by the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
6. Applicant will submit three letters of recommendation: one submitted by school administration or faculty; one by a mentor,
    supervisor or sponsor of an extracurricular or work activity; and one by a community member.
 
To provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of Bluefield High School.


PURPOSE: To benefit graduating seniors of Bluefield High School by funding of scholarships for deserving students who are academically prepared but financially needy.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be graduating seniors of Bluefield High School with a demonstrated desire to improve their quality of life through higher education, i.e. College, Jr. College, or technical or career Trade School.
For graduates of high schools in Mercer County, West Virginia and/or Tazewell County, Virginia who have been accepted to the pharmacy program at West Virginia University, Marshall University, or the University of Charleston.
One scholarship for a graduating Bluefield High School senior who plans to attend an accredited college or university on a full-time basis
The scholarship gives primary consideration to graduating seniors who are a son or daughter of an emergency service employee/manager (ESE or ESM) fire fighter, police officer, rescue worker, member of the military, etc., who died in the line of duty or as a result of injuries sustained in the line of duty.

If there are no qualified applicants whose parent died in the line of duty or as the result of an injury sustained in the line of duty, the scholarship may be awarded to a graduating senior from any of the high schools in the designated counties, or to a college student who is the son or daughter of an active emergency service worker or manager as defined above. Previous recipients may apply annually while in college.
To provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of high schools in the select counties majoring in Agriculture or Art.

PURPOSE: To provide scholarship(s) to one or more deserving high school graduates from Tazewell High School.
To provide financial assistance to graduating seniors of Princeton Senior High School seeking to attend West Virginia University, and major in Business or Education.
To provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors and/or graduates of Graham High School.
For graduating seniors from Richlands High School who plan to attend a two-year or four-year institution of higher learning.  The must be a student in good standing, demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA and providing a copy of the SAR summary.
PURPOSE: To provide college/university scholarship(s) to one or more deserving high school graduates of Bluefield High School, Graham High School, Tazewell High School, Montcalm High School, Pikeview High School, Richlands High School and/or Princeton Senior High School.
This Scholarship is to provide financial assistance for students residing in Mercer County, West Virginia or Tazewell County, Virginia who are pursuing careers in Nursing, Radiology Technology, or other healthcare fields.

Preference will be given to Applicants pursuing Nursing or Radiology Technology. If there are no qualified Applicants in those fields, Applicants in other healthcare fields will be considered.



PURPOSE: To provide college/university scholarship(s) for the freshman year to one or more graduating seniors of Graham High School, Bluefield, Virginia.
One scholarship for a Graham High School senior, or senior from another Tazewell County High School with Masonic connection.
This fund is established in memory of James C. Ramey, Sr. to provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of seven high schools in the service area of Ramey Toyota in Mercer County, West Virginia, and Tazewell County, Virginia.
This Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating seniors of Princeton Senior High School, Princeton, West Virginia, who wish to study Nursing, EMT Certification, or other medical fields

Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a Nursing degree, but if there are no qualified applicants for Nursing, applicants pursuing EMT Certification or other medical fields will be considered

This scholarship may be used for 2-year programs or 4-year programs
PURPOSE: To provide scholarship assistance to up to four academically prepared graduating seniors of River View High School and Mount View High School, McDowell County, West Virginia, who plan to major in Education.
PURPOSE: To provide assistance to graduating seniors of Princeton Senior High School who are in the top 30% of their class and show need as a component and plan to further their education
To provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of Bluefield High School, Bluefield, West Virginia
and Princeton Senior High School, Princeton, West Virginia who will pursue vocational training in a trade school,
or will pursue a degree in a 2-year or 4-year college, and for the continuing education of students who received
the award as graduating seniors and have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or greater in the prior year.
This Scholarship provides financial assistance for students studying Computer Science, Technology, or Business

Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a Computer Science or Technology degree, but if there are no qualified applicants for those majors, applicants pursuing a Business degree will be considered
PURPOSE:  To provide scholarship assistance for graduating seniors of Bluefield High School, Bluefield, West Virginia

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be planning to be a full-time student at one of the following area colleges and universities: Bluefield College, Bluefield, Virginia; Bluefield State College, Bluefield, West Virginia; or Concord University, Athens, West Virginia; or West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia.

PURPOSE:  To provide a scholarship for the freshman year of a graduating senior of Bluefield High School, Bluefield, West Virginia.
 
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be a graduating senior of Bluefield High School who plans to attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college/university on a full-time basis.

To provide scholarship assistance for graduating seniors of high schools in Mercer County, West Virginia who have participated in athletic programs.
PURPOSE: To provide scholarship assistance to academically prepared graduating seniors of Princeton Senior High School who plan to major in Education and who were actively involved in performing arts organizations while in high school.
To provide scholarship assistance to graduating high school seniors accepted to attend Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia.

 Applicants must be graduating seniors who intend to pursue a college degree.
 
To provide scholarship assistance to psychology majors of Bluefield University, Bluefield, Virginia.
Provides financial assistance to students studying Engineering and/or Geology who have been accepted as, or are currently enrolled as full-time students who are of good moral character.
This Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduates of Bluefield High School who have been accepted to attend a program of up to four years at a trade school, or to pursue an associate or bachelor's degree in a major offering good employment opportunities.
PURPOSE: To provide college/university scholarship(s) for the freshman year to one or more graduating seniors of Bluefield High School, Graham High School and /or Princeton Senior High School.
PURPOSE: To provide college/university scholarships for the freshman year to one or more graduating seniors of Bluefield High School, Graham High School, Montcalm High School, Pikeview High School, Pocahontas High School, Tazewell High School, Rocky Gap High School, Bland High School, Princeton Senior High School, and/or Mount View High School.
The purpose of the Fund is to establish scholarship assistance for training in welding for graduates of high schools in selected W.Va. and Va. counties.
PURPOSE: To provide scholarship(s) to financially needy but academically prepared graduating senior(s) in Mercer County, WV,  who plan to attend Bluefield College Ministerial Program, or are from Mercer County and currently enrolled at Bluefield College in the Ministerial Program.
PURPOSE: To provide assistance to one or more graduates of Bluefield High School, Bluefield, West Virginia and Graham High School, Bluefield, Virginia who attend Bluefield University.
The Rose Sinicrope Scholarship provides scholarship awards to high school graduates who are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton, Mercer County, West Virginia, or its successors, or members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bluefield, Mercer County, West Virginia, or its successors.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP: Dr. Roy R. Raub was a well-known and prominent orthopedic surgeon who practiced in the Bluefield-Princeton area for 40 years before retiring to Africa where he owned and operated photographic and hunting safaris until his tragic death in 2002. Dr. Raub was always completely dedicated to his patients and to life-long learning. During retirement his dedication did not end as he planned to start a scholarship fund to help the children and grandchildren of his patients reach greater heights through higher education. He was tragically killed in Africa before realizing his vision. His family took his vision and turned it into reality in 2005 with a major gift to the Community Foundation of the Virginias, Inc. and the creation of the Roy R. Raub, MD Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating seniors of Princeton Senior High School who wish to study Nursing, EMT Certification, or other medical fields

Provides scholarships to graduating seniors of high schools in Mercer and Tazewell counties who have completed all available classes at their county Vocational/Technical Center in the Automotive Technology program and will study Automotive Technology at an accredited institution.
For prospective Engineering majors:

To provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors of all high schools located in Mercer County, WV, McDowell County, WV and Tazewell County, VA, who intend to study engineering and attend an accredited college or university in one of those counties.
